Oh these kids today

I had an eye opener this week with my kids and grandkids.  (ok, I'm old, I'll admit it).  Both of our grandkids deal with the iPhone as if it is second nature.  It's just they way things are.  My daughter and husband use their iPhones as entertainment and distractions for the youngest (10 months).  They have numerous apps for little kids.  Farm animals with noises, cartoon videos, you name it, they "have an app for that".  They aren't just fun, many are hand, eye coordination and/or educational.

These kids will grow up with ALWAYS ON INTERNET being the norm and an expectation.  They'll know they can usually get the answer to questions from their phone.  They'll use their phone as a GPS, instant messenger, game machine, access to all media imaginable and generally their access to everything.

Where will they take this?
